Healing-Centered Community Engagement
Healing-centered community engagement is an approach to community work that focuses on holistic well-being and recognizes the impact of trauma on individuals and communities. Unlike traditional models of community engagement that might prioritize addressing immediate needs or solving problems, healing-centered engagement acknowledges the importance of addressing underlying trauma, fostering resilience, and promoting collective healing.

At BMH Village, we create communities where people can find the support they need through the power of connection. When people are facing challenges, it’s helpful for them to be able to find support from others who understand exactly what they’re going through, and that’s what they’ll find from our community-based programming and from our culturally tailored mental health resources.
